Prayer Spaces - St John the Baptist Church, Egglescliffe.

31st March 2017

Prayer Spaces in Schools enable children and young people, of all faiths , to explore life questions, spirituality and faith in a safe and creative interactive way. Prayer spaces give children and young people an opportunity to develop skills of personal reflection and to explore prayer in an open, inclusive and safe environment. This approach allows the children to explore their feelings, enabling them to draw their own conclusions.

Y4 Juniper watched a short film about the Easter story. They reflected and sent  thoughts and prayers for children in need, around the world. They lit candles and placed them on parts of the world where the children may live. Juniper class also dropped vitamins in liquid and prayed whilst observing the vitamins dissolve and disappear. It was a very moving experience.
